“We locate old run-down farmhouses (mas and bastides) in spectacular locations, set up on a hill, perhaps, with good vistas and surrounded by protected land that cannot be built upon, set in vineyards, farmland or locations that may even be part of the beautiful Luberon National Park,” explains company director Evans.
Working closely with our clients, we spend time tastefully renovating and refurbishing, using traditional materials such as natural stone or wood, although the end design may have a contemporary interior. We also specialize in locating old stone provincial village houses with spectacular views from their terraces for those with smaller budgets.

We use local craftsmen to restore our selected houses, so it is a very personalised service in that if a client wants a particular old stone fireplace and it’s not available as a salvage item or too costly, we can have it effectively copied as there are very talented people locally working in wood and stone. As its part of their heritage, the local craftsmen are very keen on taking restoration projects. This doesn’t cost our client the earth as we like to take care of people’s money as well as their bricks and mortar.
Renegade and Provence Invest also work very closely with the French notarial system to give clients the best possible advice as property acquisition, tax, and inheritance laws differ from those in the U.K. and Ireland.
